Harddon, topping is natural
Harddon,
I find it funny how you are against topping, I LOL everytime I see someone brings it up.
It's a freaking plant, plants feel pain? I do not know but they were made to recover. I have seen trees cut down and new growth take off from the stump. People have made 1 tree produce all different kinds of fruit. We cut bushes and grass back so it fills out in our landscaping knowing it will come back stronger and looking good. It may not be natural in away but plants are meant to be cut back, plant eating animals do this every day in the wild. Plants were meant to take abuse and recover from it. Elephants, Giraffes and even dinos eat trees and bushes in large amounts and the plants recover. It sound cruel to cut off the top but the plant will be just fine and many people want to slow the growth down so the plant can age and mature, if I did not I would have some tall ass plants needing to be veged sooner and also when you top, word is you get a little more bud.
I will tell you, tying a plant down and making it bend all different ways is not natural, the plant can do it and by your pictures has no problem with it but humans are the only ones who do this in the natural world, you do not see elephants or monkeys tying plants down
but the sure will eat the plants and the plants will grow back stronger and fuller, plants need animals so that they can bush out after being ate back a bit.
