    Harddon, topping is natural

    Harddon,

I find it funny how you are against topping, I LOL everytime I see someone brings it up.

It's a freaking plant, plants feel pain? I do not know but they were made to recover. I have seen trees cut down and new growth take off from the stump. People have made 1 tree produce all different kinds of fruit. We cut bushes and grass back so it fills out in our landscaping knowing it will come back stronger and looking good. It may not be natural in away but plants are meant to be cut back, plant eating animals do this every day in the wild. Plants were meant to take abuse and recover from it. Elephants, Giraffes and even dinos eat trees and bushes in large amounts and the plants recover. It sound cruel to cut off the top but the plant will be just fine and many people want to slow the growth down so the plant can age and mature, if I did not I would have some tall ass plants needing to be veged sooner and also when you top, word is you get a little more bud.

I will tell you, tying a plant down and making it bend all different ways is not natural, the plant can do it and by your pictures has no problem with it but humans are the only ones who do this in the natural world, you do not see elephants or monkeys tying plants down but the sure will eat the plants and the plants will grow back stronger and fuller, plants need animals so that they can bush out after being ate back a bit.

    ROFLMAO!

    Fricking hilarious!!!!!!

    Damn I still am laffing...

THis is the one that got me....

"you do not see elephants or monkeys tying plants down "

    LMAO!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    I know I know.....

TOpping IS beneficial to increase yields. YES.

I never saw a monkey climb to the TOP of the tree to eat the main cola though....

I say yes, top if YOU MUST.

But, if grown properly there IS NOT A NEED TO TOP.

After topping, the plant will respond by producing MORE TOPS.

*******This is a survival instinct, not a flourish and thrive instinct.********

I prefer to induce the flourish and thrive instinct....

Also, I try very very hard, to keep the elephants and monkeys away from my babies...

    HAPPY TOPPING

No but an elephant can eat the top of a tree or bush along with many other animals. I know it is survival of the plant but that is how they were created and many gardners/landscapers prune to get thicker, fuller plants and it seems to make the plants explode with new healthy growth.

I am going to try it your way next time and also make a tree if I can. Thanks for helping everyone Harddon, it is great to read many of your posts and I am glad you can lol about this, that is what I meant.

Look forward to seeing your plants flower

Yes you can and will get explosive growth by topping.

But is THAT the only way?

    Is THAT the best way?

    Is there another BETTER way?

Here is a secret for you...

Coax your plants to grow from INSPIRATION...not....DESPERATION

This WILL produce a more potent plant.

    P8...

Thanks for the kind words. I just try and help those who ask.

We all have our failures, our successes.

We all think OUR WAY is the best way.

I take nothing but joy from this place, even when some peeps are not in complete agreement with me.

But hey, I say, lets see the results.

There are many ways to grow ferns. All have their pluses and minuses.

I just can't imagine it being any easier than what I do. I also cant imagine a whole lot better than I do with the tools I have.

I am all for getting better....but....

    Show me the money!

LOL its all in good fun bro.

100 years from now, no one is gonna give a shit about what any of us had to say.

The only reason I feel like a criminal or an outcast is because the government programs society to make me feel that way. Other wise I am a good husband, good father, tax payer, safe driver "on license" never been in trouble with the law, served my country, Army 6 months in Iraq (4ID) and an over all good American. Amazing how smoking weed makes me scum of the earth in the eyes of G. Bush but it damn sure did not bother Mr Bush when I was killing Iraqis, now did it?
