I'm glad that you cared enough to vote and register others, even if it was for the Democratic Party. If I didn't live so far out in the country and wasn't disabled and poor,I'd have done some recruiting myself.
I'm sad to hear that your agnostic, but I kinda figured it was some thing like that,in regards to your religious belief's or lack thereof.
I reckon, that I can't accuse the liberals of being guilty for all of the pc'ism in history books, etc, but they are responsible for most of it. As for my NY statement, that particular fact, was found by Civil War historians on the factual side(ie,conservatives)..and I'm pretty sure that I read about it at FR.
As for seceding from the Union,yes.."We the People, reserve the right to alter or abolish the govermenet as we see fit." In fact,if Hillary manages to win in '08,there could be a new Civil War,with lots of States seceding from the Union..one of the first orders of business..close the border with Mexico and threaten to declare war for continued and rampant invasion of our border, with Mexico. However,I do believe that America should remain united, and that secession, would be the last option.
Slavery reparations,is a liberal's issue, and should not be emphasized over historical fact..that issue, belongs in another class.
I find it appalling, that you withdrew your kids from school, because it was not liberal enough..As it stands today, liberalism is counter to traditional American values..y'all have your freedom..and don't see why anyone else deserves freedom, especially if it requires the ultimate sacrifice. I would hope that your son, believes that other folks deserve to be free too..not just himself.
Have a good one....

Oh come off it Torong do you really believe that we invaded Iraq to FREE those people? Why Iraq? Why not the Sudan, Dufar what was the reason for attacking Iraq? I would like to know why you think we invaded. I have heard you freepers saying oh those poor women and their misreatment, you can't possibly think we sent 70 thousand men into a country because we did not like the way they were treating the women...we are there to control the mid east oil..
You cannot force democracy..the people have to want it. Iraqi people have to grow as a country just as we did....Invading a country to force a democracy is like slapping your kid for slapping his sibling...it is pretty stupid. And what right do we have to judge other nations? We can have nuclear bombs and its ok...but anyone else having them (with the exception of China because they might kick our ass...) its is not ok...The neoconservatives think the only way to democracy is to make everyone a carbon copy of america right down to the McDonalds and walmart store...and they want to pocket the profits in the process...You are backing a party of lies...the GOP lied about the WMDS...they lie everytime they say we are making progress in Iraq...lets forget Iraq and just look at their lies here at home...try The Healthy Forest Program....boy that sounds good...so it must be good, right.. WRONG it allows for roads to be cut in pristine wilderness for logging purposes...How about no child left behind...oh this one would take all day...ask any teacher..we'll just hit a few points..it allows schools to manipulate which students get tested...so the scores look better but the real kids that need the testing get what else...left behind...ANd then how about those TESTS...it just so happens most all of our taxes appropriated for this program goes to the right wing corporations that design, and administer the test plus market the test materials...they also happened to have contributed a lot of money to the Bush campaign...then we have the Help America vote act...to place electronic voting machines in all the counties in the country...Now these voting machines do not solve the problem of an accurate vote count. The machines were produced by Diebold and E&S both huge Bush backers and once again campaign contributors. THe Help America vote act has done nothing to mandate any method for auditing an actual vote count in fact most the voting machines can't be audited at all and have already been hacked into in less than 10 min. You really need to take a closer look at whats happening here...
AAR is http://www.airamericaradio.com/ there are diffrent shows and different blog styles I prefer:
http://www.majorityreportradio.com/weblog/
And why not pull my kids out of school and teach them like I want...I have a college degree. They have done just fine...in fact my youngest entered college 2 years earlier than his peers.
You say libs are counter to traditional American values....I am curious as to what you think those values are?
Hope you will listen to the show and blog, it is a little different than here...the thread changes each hour with the show at MRR...its a 3 hour show then there is the post show thread...just keep in mind it is live during the show and there are 1000s watching the blog...so you might want to read a little before you speakor try coming on when there is no show on...like the weekend...you might even learn somthing..

"I reckon, that I can't accuse the liberals of being guilty for all of the pc'ism in history books, etc, but they are responsible for most of it."
Torog, you would consider me as liberal as they come, right? Well personally I am totally against cencorship - I may not agree with everything everyone says, but I still believe they have the right to say it - and PCism has been taken way too far.
Secondly, you must agree that the majority of censorship in the history of both the USA and the UK has happened because of right-wing Christians. I recently watched a documentary about censorship in the UK, and 9 out of 10 things that have been banned (ie TV shows, books, movies, etc) or censored have been banned or censored because they were supposedly blashpemous or some such thing.
I do agree that some liberals may do things which you may mistake for censorship - for instance, complaing when kids have to stand up in school and swear an oath to God - but this is not the same... No child should be made to swear to a God that he/she doesn't believe in, or that he/she doesn't even know about yet. However, it is a completely different matter when a Christian tries to get a book banned because it goes against what the bible says (ie, the Harry Potter series, according to the new Pope, should be banned as the 'witchcraft' and 'black magic' used in it is in direct contradiction of the bible's teachings). Everyone should be able to read what they want, whether it goes against a certain religion's teachings or not. Do you see my point?
