Listerine is 20% alcohol, at least some varieties are. There was an article in the newspaper recently about homeless alcoholics buying it, especially after the liquor stores have closed, to stave off withdrawals. A doctor stated in the paper that it was probably no worse for you than fortified wine, which is popular with the homeless.

I will agree that it tastes like shit, and it's hard to down, but I will cofess I got fucked up on listerine a couple times when I was 12.
