Question About Bongs

I've used a bong once before, and it was my favorite method, but it was my frist time drinking too, and I was really rip roaring off of some nice roman cokes, and I can't really remember exactly how bongs work.

The little thing that holds the weed, does its tube go under the water?
Do you just suck, and then it come out in the air bubbles? I'm confused.

the tube goes underwater cause it filters the shit out its pretty simple just ask your friend to make you one or something

haha yeah def. ur first time drinking, it took me a minute to figure out what "roman coke" is, i was about to ask cuz it sounded like some good shit... then i realized u mean rum and coke.

But about the bongs, yeah just have one made for u or u can buy a water pipe (a smaller, handheld version of a bong) for like 40-200 dollars just depending on ur dollars and how fancy you want the design (i personally go for efficiency over fancy designs in order to save $$ but thats just me). You can get high as hell from that shit. Put ice and water in it, suck in the smoke, and you're on another level man.

Technical description of the workings of the bong:

First, the cannabis is loaded into the bowl, which you may remember was that thing sticking out of the bong. Do not ever tip the bong at such an angle that water can escape through the bowl. Anyhow, it is then burnt, and the operator commences inhalation at the other end of the device. This creates a vacuum within the chamber, and Nature, abhorring vacuums, pulls up on the water level, which increases the total volume below the water level, so the extra space, due to the same law of physics, is filled with the easiest-to-get available substance, namely air. This air comes from outside the bowl, which is ignited by the lighter and then converted to smoke as the cannabis is incinerated. This smoke is pulled into the water, forming bubbles of smoke. One of the advantages of the bong is that here, the bubbles supposedly shed many undesirable chemicals in the smoke, but not THC since it is not water-soluble. Anyhow, these bubbles, being less dense than water, rise to the surface of the water and eject their smoke into the vacuum of the chamber. This smoke is forced upward by the inhalation and then enters the respiratory system of the bong operator, creating a mild sense of euphoria.

Thanks a lot for the tips, but the whole part about thc and water solubility, leaves me a tad confused as to how in the fumuck you can get pot to work in tea.

ya, roman cokes are the best, jsut like candy. Not as strong as schnapps(peppermint schnapps all the way!!!!!!!) but wayyy more tasty.

pot in bowl. steel tube from bottom of bowl to below the water level in the main chamber. suck the air thru the top of the chamber or out a hose. air goes thru the bowl.. u get the smoke but resin and chunks of tar and such get stuck on the water. but the bubbles have cleaner smoke in them!

Ya, thanks for the tips, but they caome a little late. I made my bong to day. It is soo awesome. Used Duct tape, carpenter's glue, aluminum foil, pen knife, pvc pipe, saw, plastic cup shaped like a beaker, sharpie, water, and my pipe.
I crafted the aluminum foil, and duct tape, to hold my pipe on the pvc pipe, so i didn't have to create a bowl. I don't even have to push the pipe in, I just hold the carb, and the flame. It is soo fucking awesome man, the high lasts soooooooooo much longer, and the smoke is a million times more bearable!

Sounds like all that shit you used to make your bong, would kill you, man thats nasty, wood glue, pvc pipe, duct tape, aluminum foil. Dude just buy a cheap glass $30 bong and be on you way, all that shit you used is nasty and the weed probably tastes like ass too.

Well the shit is nasty, but I have it rigged so that I'm using my pipe, and I just slide it in. The flame doesn't even touc hthe pavc, glue, or tin foil. The smoke sure as hell does, but anything that would get caught up wit hthe smoke ,gets filterd in the juice.
Yes, that's right, I said juice. Use juice instead of water, to flavor your bong hits.
