WHat happens if you top to much?

I read one site and thought I understood topping so I tried it and topped all the way to node # 4. I read another site where I should have left 1/4 to 1/2 inch of stem .

So what now?

You top the grow shoots...not the whole damn stem.

When topping you take the newest set of baby leaves growing right from the middle.

Thats all you top.

I hope you really didnt top all the growth to node 4.

The leaving 1/4 to 1/2 of stem is generally for taking cuttings for clones.

NOt for topping.

Here is the best I got,

it was the new growth I topped, it was only a few days old. The plant is about 2 1/2 weeks

Looks like you did fine.

If you actually had 1/2 inch of stem left, your plants would be too stretched to be worth a shit anyhow.

You topped well...although topping is a controversial method...especially for such a young plant.

The plant is now in shock..and you can expect little growth for a week or so whilst it recovers.

Tell her you are sorry for doing it to her and promise her next time, you will bend her and tie her down for more bud sites...instead of ripping her head off.....

next time, bend the bitch and tie her down to expose secondary growth for bud site. Here is Whore who is tied down and all the tops you see are actually secondary side growths that are now new tops where buds will spring to life when flowering....

Yeah, I have been reading many of your posts and looking at all yor ladies.

Looks really good, I saw some of that bat shit today at ACE Hardware. How much of that do you mix with the soil? Could cost $$ if you use allot and have many plants

Na man that shit is cheap as bat shit.....

I bought 3 bags for my plants....

To date, day 40, I have used 4 tablespoons per plant.

I mix 1 - 2 tablespoons in a one half gallon jug of water as a tea. I shake the shit and then water it on the plants.

At this rate my 3 bags will last a few years.

I like the bat guano as it has a lot of unsoluables in it.

That is, I water it, and much of the guano stays on the TOP OF THE SOIL...ony the water and the soluables area absorbed.

So, next time i just water the plant, it will carry many more nutrients down to the roots without having to continually fert the plant.

ONe good dose of tea leaves enuff guano on the soil top for the next 5 waterings.

I dont mix it in the soil.....in fact, technically, I dont grow in soil.

PRO MIX is not a soil but rather a growing medium.

Hence, I need to water now 1.5 gallons of water a day....and that will have to be upped to 2 gallons of water a day starting today.

Shit I get tired of adjusting water pH...I went to 5 gallon jugs now....

but alas....it is a labor of love, is it not????

what product do you use to lower ph, I ask ACE and they want to give me a bag of lime

I bought pH DOWN in grandular form online.

pH Down Dry, acid 1.5 lbs, 1 @ $11.95 each.

I bought a small bag....about the size of a two packs of cigarettes.

The bag too will last for fricking years.

Just a fricking pinch of the shit will take a half gallon jug of tap water from pH 10.8 to 6.8.

I mean just a pinch!

Very corrosive stuff....in fact the razor blade I use to scoop it out of the bag with is all rusted and corroded now.

Like I said the bag I bought will last for many many years.

Even now that I do the 5 gallon water jugs....to adjust the pH down to 6.8 or so, all I need is may 1/4 teaspoon.

I have a RO in my house but the soil I got is at 7ph. From what I hear this is ok but at the high end of ok.

Hi end, low end....as long as its in range, dont worry.

RO is very good as well, but, probably very alkaline.

RO is all I fed my babies before they started drinking so much.

Your soil is quite fine. Just adjust all the water you feed her.
