I think this morning on my way around town, I am gonna stop and see farmer Ed.

He has about 50,000 acreas along the river here.

I'm gonna ask farmer Ed, how come I never see him and his boys out there topping his corn, soybeans and wheat fields.

I mean gosh, maybe I could teach him to top and he can increase his yield...even if its only by 20%....you know what that would mean to farmer Ed's bottom line this season????

Hell he might even let me fuck his sister for teaching him that.

I'll post my plants topped when I get home from lunch.

At least with my sativa I am glad I topped.

It allows my plants to mature longer before flowering. I would be flowering now (30 days) if I did not top, it looks like I can go 45 days now before flowering and they all have filled out and look good.

Like I said, I'll post in a few hours.

I agree there are times to top.

Like, for shorter growth....or clandestine crops....or space limitations.

But, if its for more yield, PLANT ANOTHER FUCKING PLANT and save your ass about a month.

my big plant started to grow tooo damn fast before I topped it. One thing for sure is before I topped it its had fan leaves the size of my head and was starting to increase growth rate every day. I had to top it to keep it under controll. Now 1 week later she is looking a lot bushier and now has 12 tops instead of 1. I also put the top I removed onto my cloner so that way I can either keep it and it will be Identical to the plant I removed it from or I can flower it to determine sex and if its a girl then I can make 12 more clones from the main plant and vegg them till they get big and flower them. by the time I get the clones rooted and into vegg the mommy will have more tops ready to take. heres a little trick I learned in the 80's that most people dont know........... while in bud if you were to put your plant in a cold environment for maybe 5 to 15 minutes for a few times a day your buds will produce more thc to keep the plant from freezing. you cant do it unless theres bud on the plant and the cold will kill the leaves. thats why hunters can find pot with snow on the ground because the pot is an evergreen and will be one of the only remaining green plants. I have seen this done before and it does work.
