Hard to know how it well do w/o knowing the strain but if it gets water and some shade it should do fine. Does the evening sun hit it or it in the shade after 3-4pm ? Thats the hottest part of the day. When I lived in PHX I had a friend that grew outdoors in the heat of the summer and no problems.

I never watered them or even went to check up on it, my grandpa waters the yard everyday though anyways.
