Well, that depends on how many ghetto's are in the area (those rats don;t ever tip, ever) The hourly rate is usually close to minimum.

Did they pay you for mileage and if they did what rate did they pay?

That depends on the delivery area, at piza hut it is 7 miles and they pay $.50 a run... at Papa Johns it is 9 miles and they pay $1. There is no rate for actual milage, it is assumed to be like 4 miles per run.

Did you just need to add them to your existing policy as additional insured or did they have a policy?


The drivers have thier own policy, however, most companies will not insure a pizza delivery driver... so if they get in a wreck and the insurance company finds out, they may not cover it... To insure a delivery driver is very expensive, so most drivers will not do it.
Make sure you don't deliver to high risk areas for robberies, cause they won't tip anyway, and who want to risk gettign robbed for $20 of crack money?
