brownies sucked. Why?

I made cannabutter today. Well, not butter per se. I used Crisco, because that's what my brownie recipe calls for. From what I've read, it shouldn't make a difference; any oil will do.
So I made the crisco, and it turned a nice green, just like it should, set up good, etc.
But the brownies, well, taste like shit.
Any suggestions as to how I can improve the taste and make my brownies taste more... normal?

Did they at least work well? But I'm guessing you either overcooked the brownies, or (if you made them from a premade mix) just get a different kind.

did they taste like pot? Cause if you're gonna use cannabutter, they aren't gonna taste like brownies. But if that's not it, betty crocker has a brownie mix for $.99 that works great, try them...

Well how else would you make them unless using cannabutter? I'm told that if you just throw the pot in the mix, it doesn't work. Plus you have the side effect of a nasty texture.

you can leave all the pot in the browines and will get more of a high if you do... and if you don't like the taste of pot don't cook with it, or at least understand and you're gonna have to have a lot and strain it out pretty good to get the THC and not the Natural matter in there.

POT TASTES GOOD... QUIT CRYING ABOUT THE TATSE AND LEARN TO LOVE IT, OR DON'T EAT IT...

you don't have to use butter, oil works better acutally, milk works... chocolate works, anything with fat that is readily available for the thc will accept it.

If you really want butter that doesn't have the pot in it and will taste a little better, but still like pot make Ghee, put the pot it it.. freeze/refrig... thye seperate you have thc ghee... not hard but if you need full directions let me know and i'll post them... i am planning on making some tonight and will more than happy to go through the steps.. i am using some keif though instead of pot.

how much weed do you use i an 8x8 pan of brownies. my first batch everyone was complaining that they were to strong and one of my friends seriously thought they were dying had to stay up most of the night to keep them clam... crumbled up the left over brownies and added them to an oatmeal cookie batch... they were just right then... took them on a road trip... one cookie and i was enjoying the ride.

it depends, if you put a 1/2 oz in there it will be realy strong. i usualy put in a 1/4 of good bud, not like hydro,but good grass. if i got a big bag of sift i'll throw that in to. i made fudge with a 1/2 oz of realy realy good green. i ate 1 piece nothing happend,so i ate like 2 more, BAM i couldn't stand and the room was spinning. so just know the more you put in there the stronger it is.
