Is a Roach the same thing in US as were I am in UK?
Over here a roach is the piece of cardboard/rizla packet, which is poked in the end to help filter and stop the weed/baccy flying into your mouth!!!

In the states, we usually roll the entire j with pot, so there is a problem with the end of the smoke - the roach. Hence we have things like roach clips that people use to smoke the roach.

For those of you who don't know, brits (and maybe others) will roll some cardboard or other thing into the joint so that there is no roach - they'll finish the smoke and throw away the end piece (at least i think that's how i remember it. smoked more hash when i was there).
