i took zicam, which is a cough spray, not a syrup, so its the consistency of water. that should be easier on my digestive system. i'll check the ingredients.

According to this, dextromethorphan HBr is the only active. But if the taste is an issue, get gelcaps. There are several brands which only contian DXM as the active. Check the labels before you buy.
