Anyone had the idea that we are all one? I think of "god" as more like our collective consciousness. I believe we are all part of "god". Think about it, how unique are we really? Every trait we have can be found in others, and even on a genetic level we are almost identical. Also, why do so many assume there needs to be a creator? This is an idea we linear beings seem obsessed with, but does the universe necessarily have to be created? Couldn't it have always existed? Its sorta like the idea of infinity. No matter how small something is, it can always be split into a even smaller components. This seems to suggest that the universe is endless and timeless. Think about it. The galaxies, solar systems, planets and so on are all just smaller and smaller components of an infinite universe. We evolved with limits such as seasons and food sources and lifespans, but outside of our daily linear toil the universe goes on and on and on and on.


It seems a little egotistical to assume that there is some after life in which our individual egos are preserved in a incorporeal state. Its easier to think of the "afterlife" like that, i mean who wants to just wink out of existance? But we dont just wink out of existence. In my opinion so long as there are people, each of us will always exist, except our individual traits would be spread out among many rather than collected in one ghostly wraith. An endless creation of new "spirits" just doesn't seem all that likely. Ideas like this may be part of what inspired the idea of reincarnation, but i think people think of reincarnation in too literal a sense these days. Its more like our traits and even our very essence comes from others and will not die off with us. If you weren't you, wouldn't you have to be someone? Ok this sorta requires a new sense of self to understand, but hey, thats what psychedelics are good for. (among other things.)

This is just my own personal view at the moment and that view is constantly evolving, so dont be thinkin i have this idea set in stone, there is still plenty of room for other theories of existance. Besides i didn't explain it all that well... Its difficult to explain the sense of oneness one can get and its all just speculation anyway.
