Yes, Bush and Kerry ARE distantly related - 9th cousins 2X removed if I remember correctly.
Bush is also a distant cousin of mine (from several common colonial-era New England ancestors) and millions of other Americans as well. It doesn't mean anything, but it's interesting when you do the genealogical research and find out who your ancestors were from hundreds of years ago (or futher back).
