That was based on states economies, avg IQ's, and overall success. The states with the lowest IQ's, and shittiest economies vote republican. And the states with the highest avg IQ's vote democrat. I think the highest state IQ was 113, which voted democrat, and the lowest IQ was 92, which voted republican. Also, there was a study based on voters educations. High school graduates vote democrat, college graduates is pretty even amongst dem and rep, and post graduate studies (doctors, lawyers etc..) are overwhelmingly democrat.

I believe that study is BS. The state as a whole didn't all take IQ tests, not to mention IQ tests are bias. Different people have different opinions is all that leads up to Red/Blue states.
