    Nutrients

Now that I have obsorbed so much informatioan I feel I am ready to learn more about what I need to help my plants.

I went sort of cheap and am using a all in one type fert, Flora Nova Grow and bloom.

I would like to step up on my next grow and maybe even a little on this grow.

What I would like is a quality fert for grow and bloom and the little extra stuff like root growth and whatever someone reading this might also recommened.

I am looking at Advancled Nutrients line but open to others as well.

Can someone make this as easy as possiable and list good products that I need.

    Example

    Grow
    Bloom
    Root growth
    A&B Nuts

    etc....

I would like small bottles at first so I do not end up with a $500.00 bill, I would like it to last a grow or 2

    thanks to all who help

Unfortunately you dont write whether you grow in or outdoor.. But anyhow, i would recommend the "Flora-serie", from general hydroponics.. They have a larg variety and evryone can afford to buy it..
    I grow on a 10 week-turn, indoor, with 1x250w HID + 1x400w HID, in soil, co2-addition, temp.control and the FLORA-serie..
The serie i use is : Flora Micro, Flora Gro, Flora Bloom.. and diamond nectar as an extra additive, when the 12 hour-lightning starts, and then i use Ripen the last 10 days before harvest.. this way i can produce 2 plant carrying app. 400gr pr. plant, and start 4 small plants up in small pots for seeds or next harvest.. :-)
I found some links that might be useful to you. :

    Diamond nectar : http://www.genhydro.com/genhydro_US/diamondnectar.html

    Flora serie : http://www.genhydro.com/genhydro_US/floraseries.html

    Ripen : http://www.growroomsuk.com/general-h...ics-Ripen.html

Hope this helps you a little..!! Keep up the good work and let it all grow green..

    gentlemen:
if you have a local hydro shop, they have a ton of stuff you can use and they have the expertise to help you. i told them i was growing pumpkins and tomatoes (and this year the hydro dude gave me a handful of "super large" pumkin seeds (and those are growing along side my "plants."
soil: i use fox farm ocean forest potting soil -- it's good stuff -- it's about $20 for 20lbs. the great thing about this soil is it is so rich you really don't need ferts for the first month of growth (plants love this soil). once my seedlings are in i never change the soil (i have them in three gallon pots).
as for the ferts, i don't remember what i used last year (i'll check and get back to you tonight). i believe i spent less than $50 for veg ferts and bloom ferts (and have most of it left for this year).
i hope this helps. there is a ton of info via a google search.

There is a calculator at this site which will give you a list of specific products with the specific amounts to be used during the flowering period. The amounts usually change a little each week and some are not used at all on certain weeks, but just follow the calculator and you will enjoy the harvest.
They also send me free samples with my orders.

I do have a question about how much to give

The bottle says to mix 1 tsp per gal

How much do I actually give the plant?

If I have 2 gal pots, poor the whole gallon in to the soil till it leaks out the bottom or just a little fert? how much?

STAY AWAY FROM FLORANOVA. Simply put. You cannot put the nutrients that pot plants need to thrive into one liquid bottle. It's simply impossible. I was using general's nutes and supplements until I called Advanced's tech line one day. There's a reason why General puts a 'shake vigourously' sticker on the top of the flora nova bottles - it's because the formula falls often out of solution and condenses as a chunk of crap on the bottom.

If you want to step up your grow without spending much money try sensigrow or grow-micro-bloom as a base, big bud, piranha, and finally carboload which feeds the plant and the beneficials in piranha at the same time. The most important thing to remember is that you MUST build a healthy root system first in order to build a thick, healthy stock for the food to get up to and engorge the buds with big beautiful bigness and gooeyness.
beneficials like pirahna that colonize the root zone and make it explode are a must as is a bloom enhancer. Grotek's monster bloom is made up of 8% dye so I would suggest staying the hell away from that one.

If you want any more help on nutes call Advanced's tech line or go to their website. I've gone from novice to a pretty good grower simply by calling them from a payphone and asking them questions till they started to ask me questions.
