Right now I have a dozen or so floros, 1 1000W HPS, and 1 100W HPS. I also have a kick ass window that is up so high no one (unless you were in a helicopter) can look into it.

I decided to take one of my plants and place it in the sunshine, instead of the grow room. I figured it would grow slower, since it would get less light, and it wouldn't be as bright. Turns out that it's growing faster than everything else in the grow room.

New schedule I'm gonna try:

4:00AM - 8:00AM = HPS lights
8:00AM - 6:00PM = sunlight only; HPS lights off
6:00PM - 12:00AM = HPS lights

I figure it'll cut down on my electricity costs by half, since I'll save from running the bulb for ten hours a day, on average. That's still 8 hours a day on HPS, and lots and lots of sun light coming through the windows. It might not work forever, but at least initially I think it will give me a good headstart.

Again, it's probably rare for me to have this setup; south facing windows that catch the sun so damn well and that no one could see in, but I think it just might work. I can't take pictures off it; if I showed the window you'd easily be able to judge the shape for the outside.
