Been wanting to go and my wife and I will have our 5th anniversary in Aug and am thinking of taking her to Amsterdam.

Are all drugs legal there?

What is the attitude like towards Americans, God know Bush has screwed us and most the world dislikes Americans.

Are their hotels nice and how much do they run?

Are the streets safe at night? Can someone who has been there shed a little light on Amsterdam?

No drugs are legal there. You can still get a ticket for smoking weed, but the cops dont' really care that much. I would stick to smoking in the coffee shops only. I'm just thinkin walkin down the street hitting a bong isn't a good idea lol. I hope that Europeans aren't pissy towards Americans becaseu I'm leaving to go to Switzerland in a couple weeks and I've never been outta the country before. But, have fun in Amsterdam man, I'm sure ya will.

you watch the news to much,was there for two years living with my fathers family and never had any problems.

great hotels,depends how much $$ you want to spend

you should avoid the back ally's of the red light district past like 3 am

I hear theres alot of crime in amsterdam ( besides weed ) like you can get robbed and stuff, pretty easily

a friend of mine just went and he was totally paranoid about getting robbed at the airport and said that people target americans and follow them to the train stations and shit like that put i think he took it to far. have fun and be carful. peace
