Limit to getting high?

Anyone else noticed that after but so many bowls... you seem to reach a limit on how high you can get? I mean, you can get pretty damn blazed and all, but there seems to be a point where you just can't get any higher. For me, this point is never definable, and it changes from sesson to session, but its there. Is this just me, or is there really a limit to how high you can get?
