do i have enough light?
I am growing 4 female plants in a small closet. I am currently using 2 4 ft. fluro fixtures with a total of 4 40 watt bulbs and 2 small 20 watt fluoro bulbs. the plants are growing fine right now at a good rate but i am wondering if the current light set up will be sufficient when it comes time to induce flowering. I am planning on flowering when the plants are 1 to 2 feet tall because space is a factor. Will the fluoros i have be enough to produce good size buds or should i invest in an HPS light for that? thanks, any help appreciated.

I don't think it will be enough at all. (4x40=160)+(2x20=40)=200 and I currently have 300 watts running to my 3 plants and I don't think mine will be enough. Thankfully I have someone on these forums helping me out there ;-). But from that person I've learned that the best way to grow in a closet or small space is to probably have a few CFL's or other floros real close to the plants and an HPS/MH above to provide that extra heat. This in turn makes the plants NOT reach for the light but still have that awesome light power from the HPS and not get burned. So it's a win win situation. Bottom line, the more light and less heat comming from the light the better. Also from what I've learned, floros produce small buds regardless of how big the plant grows and you need HPS/MH to get a big yield.

BigBudz definately get a Hps 250 or 400w it will produce much larger fatter buds, due to the largely increased light ouput. Believe me u will get much more out of a HPS than flouros when it comes to flowering.
