about a weak give or take. i prefer to drop seeds straight into growing medium usually in plastic party cups with holes poked in bottom. keep soil moist and in relatively warm place, this keeps u from handling the delicate sprouts.

Put the seeds in soil, 1/4" deep. loosely fill the hole, and water / soak the container one time.
Put a loose lid on the top of the container (I use yogurt cups sometimes) and keep in dark.
Check everyday for moistness as your soil must remain damp. In 3 -5 days, you should have plants.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. I do the paper towel method and get good results. Here's what you do:
Get three or four pieces of paper towel, and put them on a plate, stacked on top of eachother. Dump a bunch of seeds in the middle, in a line. Anywhere from 10-30 seeds is probably fine.
Fold the towel over the seeds, and keep folding, till you have this little folded "tube" of paper towel. Now take the whole thing (still on the plate), and put it under the faucet, with just a dribble of water. Get the paper towel wet as hell; drenched.
Then take a ziplock bag, and place the soggy paper towel tube in it. Zip the top.
Open it every twelve hours or so. I do it every six probably, because I'm eager to see them germinate.
The ones that are germinating will first have this white edge to them, which is the taproot, getting ready to pop out. If you wait too long, you'll actually see the taproot, a little white finger, fully extended from one of the seeds. It's best to get them from the paper towel and into the dirt as quickly as you can for a variety of reasons.
I've never used tweezers, I just use my hands and am really careful. Don't know if I've screwed anything up doing it that way, but I seem to be having decent success.

germinating question
How would this work?
I have a large cooler what if I placed the seeds in the wet soil, in the cups, inside the empty cooler with or without a heating pad?
The reason I am asking is this.
The cooler would keep the seeds in a dark place, and it would help control the temp. My wife keep the apt kinda cool and the cooler can be stuck in the closet with no reason for suspension.I\'m trying to see things from your point of view, but I can\'t get my head that far up my ass.

germinating question
I just put the ziplock bag with the seeds in a wet paper towel on my stereo where the heat vents are, "cable box and computer monitor vents work as well". Never had a problem with the dark issue but the heat from the vents pop them open in a few hours if not by the time you wake up the next day.
I have had every seed sprout in 24 hours doing this
