Technically I should be Christian. I was baptised when I was young but was only ever taught that Christians believe in a god who is all good and that makes Christians the most peace-loving people on Earth.

Now that I'm a licensed toker, I find I don't believe in religion. It's like the herb made me see straight. What is religion? It's no different from politics. Why should I believe in Christianity? I don't know, is there any reason to?

It seems to me religion is a reassurance, particularly with modern day Christianity. People need an excuse to be biased without feeling bad, to be reassured without being confused. The world is a bad place and people do bad things, I wouldn't say the logical place to turn in times like this is a book with unknown origins connoting the beliefs of one individual. I've no more an excuse to believe it then I do 'The Sun' and in doing so, i'm just letting myself get suckered. The world's a very difference place compared to how it was thousands of years ago, as if those ideologies could ever be significant now (yet people still believe they are).

When I read the bible, I don't see a logical solution to lifes problems and obstacles. I see nothing but jargon that people need to adapt to modern day in an effort to excuse it's crimes. What is there to suggest faith isn't a waste of time. None. I'll look out for myself thank you.

Just my small-minded opinion.
