5 joints out of 3 Gs sounds pretty normal to me. Depends on what kind of herb you are working with and how many smokers. I think the tobacco mix is a cultural thing. Different countries with different methods. The roach thing is also kinda regional. I assume by roach you mean a little piece of cardboard rolled into the end so you can smoke all the herb without burning your lips. I call a roach the little bit of joint left over when you don't use a cardboard roach/spacer (I still call a 1/4 a nickel and an 1/8th a half-nickel). They are good for saving for lean times or for making roach joints. Joints of high-grade are a little wasteful but for mids they work just fine and are fun.
