Sex: Desensitised in society?
Here's an interesting topic, but I doubt a lot of you will connect.
I lost my virginity about a month ago to my current girlfriend after 5-6 months of commitment. We have a long-distance relationship and see eachother on average 2-4 times a month.
I'm 18 years old and was never as crazy about getting laid as most teens. Although my gf wasn't a virgin, she patiently waited until I felt ready to make that step (yep, 5-6 months)!
So we finally did and I was satisfied with how it went. The fact is, I personally consider sex to be possibly the most important thing in an individuals life. It is after all what we are put here to do, hence the reason I took so long to 'go there'.
Now that i've experienced it (and have so often then-on), I don't get what it is in society.
Sexual insults, slang terms for sexual organs/practises, hardcore porn, the ridiculous innuendo in Carry On films. In my eyes it seems a beautiful thing is looked on in society as... well... A bit of a joke really.
I'd never, ever get turned on by vids on the net depicting a million cocks in one woman. What the fuck's up with that shit?
I'd never consider using any sexual slang terms, not even 'fuck' as a verb. I just think it's disrespectful, it doesn't seem right.
It seems to me sex is viewed nowadays as nothing but a dirty joke, not a natural, beautiful thing, and that contributes to associated problems in society such as underage pregancy and sexism. It was always something I was unsure of growing up (adding to my sensitivity on the subject).
Don't get me wrong you lot. I still collect FHM and use the word 'cock' as an insult
. I just don't really understand how sex has become so desensitised now that I've experienced it for myself.
Anyone else see what I mean?Button Basher Reviewed by Button Basher on . Sex: Desensitised in society? Here's an interesting topic, but I doubt a lot of you will connect. yeah, ive never liked hardcore porn. it's all just rape fantasy. every time i watch it it feels like it was made my someone mentally disturbed who is trying to release his pent-up sexual rage. and then there's the bleached hair, the ugly makeup, the laughably unproportioned bodies... ugh.
the idea of two naturally beautiful, consenual people having sex just for the fun of it, or for love, is a lot more appealing to me.

its pop culture man, everybody has an opinion and that was yours. but you are trying to say all other opinions are stupid. That is wrong.

I think sex is a very serious thing. I've done stuff with girls before, but through my own decision, have never actually had sex (I'm 18 btw). I just want to wait til the perfect moment. Just think of how ultimate it would be if you get married to a girl you REALLY love, and you both lose your virginity together. I find it kind of romantic lol. Almost all of my friends have had sex and make jokes about me because I never have. I think that's what alot of people view sex as, a step in becoming a man. I don't see it that way. I just want the first time to be perfect ya know. I kind of have the same view on sex as you Basher.

keep your pants on man. he never judged anyone or said anyone was wrong. he never attacked you or anyone else. he's stating his opinions. notice that almost every sentence began with "i think", "it seems to me," and so on. if you disagree with his opinions, fine, instead of attacking him hit your back button.

Thanks for chilling sharpezor, I hate to get into slanging matches with people over the internet
.
It's all my opinion and I anticipated most wouldn't connect with it. I don't hold it against anyone, like I said, it's the shape of society. I don't so much disagree with it as don't understand it, but that's my problem and noone elses.
But seriously, double anal/double vaginal? What's up with that shit?

I think I understand a lot of things about sex. I don't understand the standard look of these ppl in porn...the guys are extremely cheesy looking and totally gross. The girls are well, we all know what they look like, but the interesting thing about it is someone finds it arousing because it is making TONS of $$$.
So what's the secret? Why is it such a money maker? Most ppl agree the ppl in porn are unattractive and disgusting, so who's buying it?
When I do my phone sex gig I ask the men what their fantasies are and to describe for me their idea of a beautiful woman. NONE of them ever describe the kinds of women who are actually in porn. And surprisingly, most of them are interested in the girl on the inside and not on the outside, which may seem odd, but never the less.
