light setup
I have read the user guide on the site but am in need of a little more guidance. I am new to cannabis growing and am looking to setup a small operation say 3 or 4 plants. I am unsure however what the best type of lights to go for are- i.e. how many watts, should i get sodium lights or UV lights etc. I am also unsure about what seeds to purchase. I hear white widow is quite good for beginners. If there is any other equipment that you recommend i purhcase i would greatly appreciate it. Links to website to buy equipment at a good price would also be wicked. Do you people buy any equipment of ebay- does it look good on the whole is there anything in particular i should not buy when getting lights etc

Your best getting a 250W or 400W HPS obviously the more light the better but if you can't afford the 400 you should be ok with 250. The HPS will be ok for the whole grow then again for best results you could switch to an MH bulb for flowering. You should also get a fan to keep the stems strong and possibly a timer for the lights.

The questions are all welcome because we love to help. 600W is fine but youd need to have it further away since it gets hotter. I'm gonna be having a seperate fan blowing on the bulb to make things cooler on it when I get it. Thanks to HARDON for that

i personally to cut down on my electic bill i use compact floroescents...they are great if u ask me in another 30 days ill then take my babys down to the basement so they can start a 12 12 flowering cycle under a 400w mh .......if you can find good product on ebay i highly recommend looking there for you hid light ( hps or mh light system ) i got my 400w mh on ebay for 60 bucks usd....as for seeds i think the Northern lights is great for beginers....easy to grow and maintain....also it is one of the lower odor strains...here are a few pix of my northern lights plants.....these have been under compact floroescents for 30 days now...gonna leave them for another 30 and start flowering....peace all
