Sativa and will be too tall

I see now with certainty, my (bag seeds) area a sativa strain. My box was designed for NL, .... AND this is my first time, and test batch .
Should I grow another week , and switch to 12/12? I want to be able to tell the sex of the plant. (seedlings are a little over 2 weeks old)

Also if I have more than one question do I keep posting threads? Or put them in one post?
Well, at this point I will have already exceeded the quota of one, so........do sativa nodes alternate?

As a general "tell" the fastest growing, tallest and skinniest will be males.
    But not always.
And, a longer veg. will yield greater returns.

Also if I have more than one question do I keep posting threads? Or put them in one post?

Make a bullet list of related questions.

But first, click on the link in my signature and do a search there.
Most of what you need is there.
    Best archives on the net!
You will ask mo' betta questions and be better prepared to understand and implement any good advice that you receive.

There's no quota especially with related questions.

And yes, Sativa nodes begin to alternate when they are ready for flowering.
    But so do Indica kine
If height will be an issue, top them or LST them.

Attempts to sex them too early can be frustrating, they take a long time and then will take more time to reveg.
And all that is stressful to seedlings.

I know the feeling of wanting to do "something".
But this early, it is not advised.

    Aloha,
    Weezard

Clicked on link in your signature, and while I found many replies, or questions, it just really didn't help me THIS time.

I had no idea the reply wasn't as simple as the question.

I do appreciate you taking the time to respond, But please do not feel as though you must.

I've put you on my ignore list.

Sativa and will be too tall

I have seen 6 ft. saliva plants fit in a nice little box that was just 2 ft. tall with aggressive LST'ing ( is aggressive lsting an oxymoron?)
    Definitely worth the wait...

Sativa and will be too tall

I have found with my strain of Indica I can LST it to whatever form I pretty much want. Though with a Sativa I suspect the stretch would be an issue even with Aggressive
LST training. Hey crystaliscious, were those 2 foot Sativa's really wide?

...and Luv2bowl? You just alienated a really helpful and very experienced grower with your reply....I would suggest treading a little more gently in the future.

I wasn't aware people were overly sensitive, about responses.

I come to people with respect, and I reply the same way people reply to me. I appreciate experience, and knowledge, that is why SOME of us are on here.
And I hope who ever I may have offended smokes, vapes, tokes, what ever works. Always sending vibes filled with peace, and laughter.
Will try not to be too brusque, in the future.

@ OMB Hey crystaliscious, were those 2 foot Sativa's really wide? - Kept them trimmed - stayed to about 2 ft. and about 2 ft. wide - thinking about trying to grow one horizontilly in a cloth bag on the wall and have it reach to the other side of the closet 6 ft. away - will it work? <grin> ( I AM serious too!)

I wish he were here to hold my hand, a favor which would be invaluable.

Yup Weezard is the man, he is vast with knowledge and knows about LED's before there are informational books written about LED's.
