When you're making your post, at the very top, there are a bunch of boxes to select font, bold, italic, size, etc. In the very last box, there is an icon that looks like a picture... its literally the one before the very last option that says "Insert Image" (you have to mouse hover on it). You can insert an image by uploading from your computer.

There is actually no waiting period, this is only my 5th post, and I've been able to upload pics with no problems. 8-)
