    HUMIDIPACKS Questions

I may get the opportunity to acquire some of these and have them sent here to me. I have a few questions for those who have first hand experience with their use.

    1) I don't know what kind of packaging they come in, but I worry about storage once opened. probably throwing them into my desk drawer isn't smart. so how do I keep them fresh/active? and while we're on that subject, what is the life expectancy of the pack in or out of use?

    2) would these be a good thing to use in my seed storage container?

    3) tell me if this is viable: since they would stabilize the humidity in a jar at 62% and that is in a good curing range, why wouldn't I just take fresh buds and toss them into a jar with a pack? or how many packs would I put in a quart or so jar?

    4) if and when using them in a curing jar, where do you place them? bottom, top, middle? are the buds closest to the pack subject to some kind of burn?

I was a Lone Ranger fan as a kid, but I'm not at all sure there is a magic/silver bullet. I'm also not reading a whole lot/enough about these packs in the forums, so what's the downside? they sound almost too good to be true, bringing out the skeptic in me.

thanks in advance for the input.

    HUMIDIPACKS Questions

Hi. I have not used these, however I was curious after reading your post and was reading through their website.

I believe that, as long as the individual humidipaks are left in their individual wrappers. they can be stored anywhere. You probably wouldn't want to store them near a computer, light, appliance or anything else that generates heat because they will dry out faster inside the wrappers. I also believe that you would not need to use these around seeds because you want to keep seeds in a cool, dry place. I believe these would cause too much humidity for seeds.

thanks for that. after posting, I also found out they were individually wrapped. that answers one question.

I currently keep my seeds in a faux tupperware container in the veggie tray at the bottom of the fridge. I've never checked the RH, but I wouldn't have thought 62% would be all that damaging to them.
