I freakin' love it. My first grow too Brought back some seeds from Maui about 2 years ago. Came across them last summer in an Altoid tin and decided to plant them. 8 of 9 came up so I gave 6 of 'em to a buddy and threw the other two in my greenhouse. My buddy flowered one to ascertain sex and it was a male.
.....so I said "screw it," chuck 'em all. I didn't want to go and get them at that point and I wasn't setup for them. The two I had...got to be about 3 feet tall and spindly so I planted one on the hill in my backyard. Dogs pulled it out of the ground....twice!
So I was down to 1 of the original 8. It was doing great, even with minimal care and watering and suddenly it had flower's! I'm thinking, "uh-oh" I need to clone it! So I took 3 clones and my buddy mothered them and got them re-vegged.
So now I needed to get "set up" Didn't want to deal with heat, space somewhat limited, plus I just like to be different....so I went with an all T5HO setup.
20,000 lumen 4 bulb 4 foot T5HO for Veg, 30,000 lumen T5HO 6 bulb 4 foot with a 5000 lumen T5HO sidelight for flower. bud's are tight, but not huge...like there plant!
Anyway, the little midget ladies turned out pretty cool. Even though the mother was tall and spindly, all the clones have been very short and bushy!
It's an Indica strain, and apparently a "Kush", whatever that is exactly. They were cloned 9/8 and took some time to reveg, so they had about 3 weeks after rooting then I repotted and sent two of the 3 to flower on 10/17. I kept one as a mama.
So here is the two little stumpy girls at 6 weeks and 1 day. I did LST them somewhat, but was a little late starting so that's as far as I went.
They are approx. 8.5 inches tall and 16 inches wide....Hahahaha, funny little stumps. I have had a great time playing with them, I needed a winter hobby.
Trials and tribulations as well....Spider mites, (killed) fungus gnats (killed) and a 12 day vacation towards the end with a temp issues and rookie caretaking too.
But I'm there! Some Milky Trichomes already, maybe this weekend I will wack 'em.
So here's the pics.
Thanks for the assistance given by those that helped, and happy growing!
