I'm new to growing MJ as well, but I have many years of experience growing plants agriculturally and for fun. Growing a plant to keep it alive is one thing, to grow it for agricultural purposes is quite another, especially indoors. You are trying to give this plant the proper conditions to thrive and produce at a peak level. That takes an investment of time and $$, and the patience to do things right. I would pick people's brains around here as well as get yourself a guidebook like Rosenthal's. Don't go half-assed. You don't have to spend thousands of $$ and being creative is strong positive trait, but be prepared to spend what you have to to get the correct equipment for what you're trying to do. But first figure out exactly what you're trying to do. What is your goal? Goals?

I don't mean to offend by telling you stuff you already know, but I think it's important for people new to growing plants that you must remember that this is a living organism. Despite what we may think while under its influence, it's not magical. It has very specific requirements in order to live and more importantly to thrive. Is your setup the kind of environment where you would want to be kept alive? I would guess not. I love the creativity people put into stealth grows, but at some point you have to be concerned about the plant more than anything else, or it's a waste of time.
