and one last thing to considering...your comparing the wrong thing. Watts is a unit of energy used. The real question is which has more lumens in the correct range...do you know which has more lumens the hps or your t5s?

for sure this is part of it. Low light conditions do make it take longer for bud production and maturity

    That's right.
You have to factor conversion efficiency with Watts.
And for plants, it's best to use PAR for comparing grow lamps.

thanks man. Its honestly just a lot of reading. I spent (D) untold hours researching strains, growth methods, training techniques, looking at other peoples grows, trying things out for myself, etc. I have composted hundreds of plants in my time. Hell, I chopped down some 8 foot plants before after discovering how much mold liked that phenotype. I am hardly a softie, but I tell you what, taking an ax to some massive marijuana bush made me a bit sad. If ya'll could see my first grow lol. I started with CFLS in a jenky plywood box I make under my iguana cage in a 350 square foot apartment with 3 people living in it lol.

Another two cents, what don't kill you, makes you stronger. I believe I've seen this.

Had to do some quick mental math, not my strongest suit, but from seed going to say that some of the northern cali(Humboldt) grow went 8-81/2 months. Nice big plants.
Probably my favorite was an Australian plant(high times), planted by vent of gas dryer, 12months, and the bitch hid the house.

But serious man, you getting 150# out of three carports, is really excellent.

Yea most the big guys have plants going now for outdoor. I started 100 seeds and have about 30 2 footer moms for the greenhouses. I am planning on 96 plants total, 36 in greenhouse and the rest outside.
