So I took what was probably my tenth drug test in life and thus far Ive never failed but I think they got me on this one. Was sent to Quest Diagnostics for a POCT5. A point of care 5 panel test. This should be a cinch to pass. It was the iCup. I read the directions and the cup is to be checked within 5 minutes of being filled. The thing is the tech did not do this, she bagged it and tagged it. I took the test at 4 pm on Thursday afternoon. My temp was good, she checked off all the right things. So Im thinking bam, I passed another one. Then Friday comes and goes and I get no call. Saturday the same thing. I was told by my recruiter Friday afternoon that everything was a go and we were awaiting my start day (would it be Monday or Tuesday). When Im told were a go I am figuring we have a passed test and are awaiting the hiring company to give us a date. Then Im told that the hiring company was already expecting me Monday by a friend that works there. I just have a real uneasy feeling the recruiter was still awaiting my results and they somehow flagged the test and that he wasnt shooting me straight. Anyone care to ease my mind? I know from research that my results should have been posted by Friday aftrnoon if they are what I was hoping for. I used QuickFix Synthetic 5.7 in KY at Quest for a test that was supposed to be checked ont he spot. The lady mentioned that she wasnt sure how to do the test I was ordered as she had never done one. So I think what may have happened is she sent it of to lab and since the cups sweet spot had expired they ran full labs on it. I might be a victim of very bad luck here.

To make matters worse my employer of 8 years terminated me when they found out I was accepting another position. My current employer is really struggling right now and this gave them a reason to cut a top end employee wage wise. Im thinking life just took shitty turn here. Again, Im looking for a silver lining here. IS there one or am I just screwed? It makes me sick because I only smoke on the weekends and had I known thi sjob that I applied for 6 months ago was going to call Id have just abstained, but as it stands I got a call early in the week and they wanted me the next week. Its looking like a series of unfortunate events.
