well the female cannabis, creates a preflower when it becomes a certain age or when it thinks its ready to make flowers. usually the females are bushier than males. Males have a tendency to grow taller & somewhat lanky and grow faster. Some times ive noticed males also droop more, no matter what you do.
Now this isn't always true, ive had plants that I thought were male and they turned out female, so don't get too jumpy if you think you got a male.
This is what I have seen with my plants which I normally use the males to make homebrew seeds.

I have only put a slight mix of very weak fish fert twice ań everything seems healthy. I just transferred into a bigger pot and noticed something different.
