HHAHHAHAHA, liek ANY country that signed that treaty would end up doing it. That would be REEEALLLL smart for the US to eliminate its stockpiles then.... OH NO!!! turns out russia and china went back on thier word, big surprise.... now to usher in a new era of communist influence here in the US....

No one has answered â?? or until now, even asked â?? the obvious question: Why is it that the United States can have a nuclear arsenal far larger than that of every other country in the world combined, but that Iran canâ??t have even a single nuclear bomb â?? especially when Israel, Pakistan, and India have nuclear weapons?
It's really quite easy, Iran is a fundamentalist regieme, who's stated goal is the destruction of our ally, Isreal. Also, it is controlled by few men.... you don't want a bomb that can kill millions in the hands of just a group of religeous fundamentalists.... The fact that Isreal, India, and Pakistan have nukes is a great failing of all nuclear nations.

Speaking of Iran Speaking of Iran Harry Browne | May 13 2005 George Bush likes to remind us over and over that an Iranian nuclear bomb would be a violation of the 1970 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Iran signed that treaty and agreed not to develop nuclear weapons. However, the treaty also calls for the five countries who had nuclear weapons in 1970 â?? the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, and China â?? to begin reducing their stockpiles and eventually eliminate them entirely.
