depends on how big the bud is
25grams wet, which usually is one decent size bud/cola 1.5-2 weeks drying in a shoe box of some sort. then about 3-4 weeks in a glass jar, burping it every few days

A small humidity gauge left inside a sealed jar for 24-48 hours; can tell you if the plant has dried too long or not long enough.
60-65% humidity (inside the jar) is considered ideal by most growers for a good cure.
1. Below 55% = too dry
2. Above 70% = too wet
Enjoy.

Good call Dutch! I have several of the exact same ones. Even has max/min so you can check previous temp/humidity. Being a weather fanatic, checking temp/hum is my ocd, so they are everywhere! They're cheap too! Google springfield percise temp, you can order there. Good cheap investment!

Hang the branches on some string in a dark room, after a couple of days, trim all the leafs and put the buds in a jar and wait for a couple of days (more than a week or two) and again, in a dark room.

Well timing isn't something you can always rely on when drying. If the air in in the drying area is super dry, it will happen pretty fast, if humidity is high, it will take longer. As soon as the outside feels crispy to the touch, its time to go into the curing jar. The next day, feel the buds. Moist? Leave the lid off untill they feel dry again. Do this every day untill they stay fairly (but not not crispy) dry. We do this because the interior of the bud & the stems hold moisture longer, & if too moist can mold or even get an ammonia smell & taste. Once they reach the stage of 'leather dry', leave the lid on & cure for 2-6 wks. Most people recomend 6.
---- There's a post on here with a link that tells you a more technical method. If I can find it, I'll put it in another post. (Basically, it gives you humidity percentages which you measure with a small gage that you place inside the jar).~~~ PEACE! ~~~
