You know, one of the reasons CFL's work so well is they pump out UV light more than the tubes. Great for budding & ripening. I like mixing my light types for that reason. Currently, my seedlings are in a sm fish tank with 2 grow lights resting on top. When they go into a faster veg growth, they'll be transplanted & put into my cabinet. 4' 6tube T5's, plants, 2 rows of 4 with a shop light on its back down the center with grow lights (under lighting). CFL's spread around as side lighting. When I change over to 12/12, the only thing I change out is I go from cool to warm CFL's. This warms the light up a bit, but still keeps it on the cool side to prevent stretch. About 2wks before finish, I add a couple of red cfl party lights to aid ripening & this close to the end, there won't be any stretching. Keeping light k on the cool side keeps the buds from being as light & fluffy as they could become under fluorescents. My space is 4 1/2 x 2 1/2. You may need more or less cfls according to your space size.
