    Extra leaf seedling.

I planted two seeds of feminized Diesel; one into soil and the other into rockwool. The one in rockwool came out with an extra, perfectly formed leaf. I've seen other deformed seedlings, but they are usually asymetrical with scewed leaves and branches at strange places etc... The seedlings just went down into DWC and I can't wait to see what the deformed seedling will turn out to look like.
Notice that there are three "sprout leaves" instead of the usual two, which is why I think it might not just be a leaf deformaty but may instead result in some cool physical plant properties.

    Anyone else seen something similar?

    Extra leaf seedling.

whorled Phyllotaxy. we've discussed this here many times. extra leaves, three instead of two. often the plant outgrows it. In any case the plants do not seem to have extra yield or potency over a normal plant.

    Welcome, Ign!

I've never had one that didn't outgrow it by the third or fourth set of leaves. Once had a maple leafed lndica & I was hoping that one kept the trait all the way into budding, but no such luck. Adds nothing to potency or harvest weight. Just a pretty little oddity. Very worthy of baby pictures with the Nikon though! ~~~PEACE!~~~
P.S. I like ! Polydactyl cats have 6 toes! COOL! Looks like catchers mitts!
