The history of bud as we remember it..

I came to know bud from my cousin Mark who lived in El Cajon Ca. After that, a couple friends of mine, Chuck and Mike Landcaster turned me on to lumbo gold and red bud. These were good but considered commercial. Some guys measured lids, and some 4 finger bags, those days or mabey just the simplicity of those old days are missed. We used to hang and smoke without worries. We did sink bongs and goodies under glass when available, everyone who smoked knew everyone else who smoked. Wish those days would come again...

OOOOH yeah! I was in the army in Germany and went to the hard rock in Amsterdam bi monthly. The thing to do then was roll what we called spliffs, hash tobacco mixed. I'm sure people got a whiff of the goodies but they never said a word either. The best around back then was bubble gum hash and when I got out I was bad. I smuggled some back with me. I can honestly say that I had NO problems converting to civilian life, or did I.. can't remember, lol

Ok so when I was 16, I inspected communication towers. I was at the time being trained for solo work. My instructor and I were in a California town called Weaverville. We were only supposed to be there for 4 days so that's all the meds I brought. I ran out and from listening to verbal droning about the same procedures over and over, I got desperate. I went into town and saw a guy pushing his little girl on the swing. I said, Hey brah.. I know you don't know me but im from Az and im out, can you help a brother? He took me up this mountain road to a double wide on a hill. He came out with a bag with 3 perfectly round lime green balls. I never saw anything like it even until this day. No hairs, no stems, Nothing... I asked him if he was tryin to pull a fast one. His response.. Here's some scissors and papers, try it, if you don't like it i'll take it beck and get your money. That was the only time in my entire life that I had to quit at a half so I could drive us out. That was the best!

Hey, what ever happened to red bud? I remember it tasted good. There's something else just a little after red bud vanished that I'm trying to find again. Think it was Hawaiian. It kicked my ass & tasted like coconut. Someone suggested it was maybe coconut kush (or did they say haze?) Anybody know?
--- The music back then had a lot to do with the buzz too. I could use some Fleetwood Mac right about now. Peter Paul & Mary, Donovan, Simon & Garfunkle, Janice Joplin... Yeah, miss that shit. ~~~PEACE!~~~
