Can I just eat weed?

My lungs have really been going to shit, so I've decided to quit smoking. At least I did until the searing pain starting shooting down my leg again. so I was thinking of eating it, just strait. I thought it had to be heat activated, but my friend said a friend of his ate a strait bud and got stoned off it. anywhoo, if you guys know anything I'd love some info, to know if that would even work. mainly I'm wondering:

- Does it work? (of course)
- does it need heat to work?
- how long would it take to take effect?
- and how much do I need for the same effect? like 1.5 times more, 0.5 times as much etc...

Well depends on how you do it. Yes it needs to be heated. This is why the firecrackers work, or cannabutter. I think its probably like a gram more if ur gonna eat but not positive. It can take 30mins-60mins depending on if ur stomach is empty or not. Personally in my experienecs it never really worked that well. Ive had firecrackers(THEY SUCKED BUT I THINK IM JUST DUMB) Ive had cannabutter put into cake batter(lol just ate the cake batter, was good but hurt my stomach) And then it was made into Puppy chow,the chex stuff(that gave me a small buzz)
Overall from my expericenes, eating it SUCKS! lol just my opinon

lol, I know this is retarded, but would anybody wanna post a pic of one? no idea where to get one or what it looks like, or for that matter how it works.... though I'm quite baked at the moment
