    Topping autos?

I am staring a crop in my garden this coming spring. I would like my plants quick, but they must be short in stature for security reasons. Can I top or super crop auto strains to keep it low and perhaps increase yield?

    Topping autos?

Autos for the most part hate topping, fimming, trimming etc. Also, they hate it when you rotate them. Lastly, do NOT repot them. They hate that too. The tap root goes to the bottom of the pot and spread out it's root system. It doesn't like change period.

you can try, but these were some of the things I remembered reading about when I was growing my black domina this past summer.

    Topping autos?

i do it around preflower when i do top them
i think the record is 300+ grams from a auto mazar from dutch passion and it was topped its strain dependent like most plants
just from my experience i have pics of plants i topped but alot of strains will be heavy yielders from just heavy lst and some pinching to keep everything in place

the only reason not to repot them is if you damage the roots it wont recover if its a stress less transplant then it will just keep on going there is a point when it will stunt them if left in the smaller container too long
they love rotation , lst , pinching FIM it if it stretches to much
i can show you a grow that the dude pulls pounds in a scrog from like 6 think differents and repeats the setup over and over he pinches the hell out of them

it all boils down to your skill level
they really just dont like rich / hot soil from the start and give them as much light as you can i run mine 24/0 after growing just auto's for a few years now in a 3x4x5 box with 400 hps and 270 w of led

the purpose of topping is to get bigger yield. in the case of autoflowering strain, they're not good to top and even fim or trim coz these type of strains are more sensitive compared to regular sativas and indicas..

Autos have their own biological clock. They will grow and finish based on their ruderalis genetics unless it has been scientifically sidelined by indica or sativa genes courtesy of breeders. They are a strong weed plant but also stubborn and will not take a dictation from a grower unless you really know what and how to do it.
