New LED Grower
Ill start with my basic info. closet grower, mylar lining, (2) 35W 6500k cfl's and (2) 23W Red/Blue LED spotlights. soil = 60% miracle grow soil, 30% perlite and 10% sand. they are watered with room temp city water. I was running 20/4 lighting cycle. With the closet staying at 70 degrees F. and a small circulation fan. I also have nitrogen spikes in the soil. I only have 2 plants since this was my first grow and wanted to see if the LEDs did anything. I just forced flowering at 8 weeks. one is a foot tall with 1 less tier and the other is 10 inches tall with 1 more tier than the taller one. I have no idea what strain the seeds came from. here are a few pictures

What other nutrients are you using, BTW? Also, what is the size of the grow space with that amount of light? Have you grown before in this set up (other than lighting change) to compare the yield/quality differences? Will be watching!

Get rid of the nitrogen spikes, save those things for your tomatoes or something. If your buds end up tasting metalic, blame it on them. Find yourself an organic bloom food. There's hundreds of them. Too much nitrogen makes cannabis tall, spindly & lanky & you'll taste it in your smoke, sometimes it will even spark & sizzle almost like a sparkler when you put the fire to it if it has too much nitro. Plants look good, but you need to beef up your stems. Bloom nutes are higher in phosphorus & potassium. That will help grow your buds & fatten your stems. You don't want the bud weight breaking your plants. You have plenty of time to do this, no worries. They're pretty & healthy. ~~~ PEACE! ~~~

any specific ones that work great but are not to costly? if you can find it on amazon that would be great as I do 90% of my shopping there. Also since now im down to 1 female should I clone now or wait until after harvest.
side note- can you make hash with the male leaves?
