Applied for a life insurance policy thru State Farm, I know they'll take blood and urine. The blood doesn't worry me and I planned on subbing for the urine with Quick Fix as I have had success with it in the past. My question is what happens if my blood test results show things the urine test does not?

The blood test is typically used to check for diseases/other health-related issues, rather than THC use. Thats where the urine test comes into play.

THC is detectable in the blood for 2-5 days depending on pattern of use. Thats why urine is the preferred specimen for THC use over the blood specimen.

Is the urine used strictly for drug testing when applying for insurance or do they check for health related things as well?

Yes, they also test for the presence of sugar in your urine, which is a symptom of diabetes, as well as compounds which describe kidney function, and so forth.

So subbing is definitely my best bet?

Subbing is not recommended if youre subject to a full-blown medical test (in which many insurance companies have you take). The sub would conceal any diseases and other health problems that you may not be aware of that needs to be brought to your attention.
