Incredibly freaked out, I need advice!

55 days ago, I shared a bowl with a friend. Since then, i have exercised maybe once a week, i weigh 205 lbs, and am 5'11. I eat an average healthy/unhealthy diet. I have a drug test tomorrow for a new job that I have to get, I was worried that they were going to do the hair test, so i went to a smoke shop to see about some mythical hair shampoo they had... here is where it gets weird.

I walked into the smoke shop and it smelled strongly of marijuana. I literally put my shirt over my mouth out of nervousness of getting a contact high. I was in the store for maybe 60 seconds and thought it best if i get out of there. Immediately from there, i went to walgreens and picked up a marijuana stick test. I did the test within an hour of being in the smoke shop and it BARELY showed a negative for THC. Because I'm a crazy worrier, I went to walmart and bought about 5 of those at home THC only test kits where you pee in the cup. About exactly two hours after I was at the smoke shop, both tests came up positive for THC!!! i couldn't believe it. I had my roomate do one as a control, and he tested negative. I lost my shit.

So, this happened last night and since then, I've been drinking cranberry juice, water, gatorade, took vitamin B, ate a fat steak, and have been constantly drinking fluids since then. I have taken the same piss test that I failed twice, three times since then, and all appeared to be a pass, the line wasn't solid dark, but it was still a pass.

So, what does everyone think? I believe I got a contact high from being in that smoke shop for 60 seconds. Also, the piss test showed the lines that means I am negative for THC, but they were faint, so I am still worried about failing. Do you think I will fail? I am freaking out and haven't been able to sleep in the last 24 hours. My test is tomorrow around 3pm. Someone please help!

How do you know that youve 'barely' tested negative, given that home tests are a PASS/FAIL endeavor only and have no ability to yield a quantitative value?

I guess I am basing that on the fact that my roomate's test had a line that was about twice as dark as mine. Mine was still definitely visible, just not as dark, so to me, that makes me wonder if the hospital i'm testing at tomorrow has a lower pass threshold than this piss cup did. I mean, i would say i definitely passed according to this cup, but because my line isn't as dark as my roomates, it has me worried. Sorry man, i'm just terrified as I have a lot riding on this pass.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no meaning attributed to the intensity or width of a line. Even synthetic urine controls (which contain no drug metabolites at all) can produce a faint line on an assay. A faint line is still a line, which is a negative. And a negative is a negative.

BTW, drinking fluids is only helpful on the day of the U/A. Drinking a bunch of fluids in the days leading up to the U/A is useless. Drinking fluids only serve to dilute (thin out) the THCA concentration to where a urine sample can register a negative on an assay. The dilution phenomena is only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine by the kidneys, and thus the donor would resume testing positive for THC.

Thanks BT. How about the strategy where you pee in the toilet first then move to the cup midstream and finish with the rest of the pee I'm the toilet? Is this necessary? When I passed my at home tests, this is the strategy I used

A better strategy would be to urinate at least 3-4 times prior to the scheduled U/A.

BTW, If the worries youre experiencing will not go away, you can always cut to the chase and use your roomates clean pee as a substitute, if passing the U/A and securing that new job is of any real importance to you. Employment-related U/As are not observed unless you had been suspected of tampering.

thanks for the tip. My test is pre employment related and its at a hospital, not a "drug and blood lab" I had one of these about 5 years ago at the same place, and I can't remember, but I thought the nurse stayed in the room with me for this one. I could be wrong, but i don't want to risk getting caught when maybe I will be able to pass with my own urine.

Since youve taken that test at night, the result is hardly reliable due to the fluids youve consumed during the day as part of normal hydration. Anytime you test yourself, always use the first urination of the day.
As advised previously, do a Forum Search with the terms "first urination worst case scenario"

Thanks BT, I just took a test and used my first urination of the day and went straight into the cup without using the mid stream method. The results are identical to last nights. I am feeling better about this and it looks like I should pass.
