    Shov Winter 2013-2014 Sativa Grow

    I'm reading some kick ass genetics here my friend! I'm drooling on my touch screen! Was talking to a friend last night who said he had to be scraped off the floor after smoking chem D. last week. On my last birthday, Ak-47 body slamed me. I'm confused on Mazar-I-Sharif. Some seed banks list in their sativa section, & others as indica. It taste like indica. The first time I smoked it, at first it seemed an up high, but then I stood up, realised I over indulged, sat back down & said hell I'm not cooking dinner. Where's the damned Reese cups!?!? I love bubblegum & blueberry. I've yet to try cheese but I want to. Do you know if its indica or sativa dominant? Someone told me it grows quite large.
    ---- I seem to be the only one who pollen swaps. You ever done this? ~~~ PEACE! ~~~

    I've no experience with Cheese. The only pollinating I do is open or selective to a single branch. I've not collected and saved or shared pollen but once for my B-I-L to cross his female Purps with my male Bubblegum x Blueberry. I have a decent collection of seeds to choose from and I have some offers for a few premium cuts (Hells Angels OG, Bubba Kush, Katsu) that I may get around to growing one day. But I'm pretty pleased with the stable I have at this point.
    Yes, the Mazar-i-Sharif is two totally different strains. Crazy. I have grown the indica and it's very nice. The sativa is supposed to be exceptional. It's not on my 'to do' list though.
    Best of luck with the seed shopping.

    OK, back to work...

    Plants are doing very well. Mascot wasp is still there. I've culled one Mango Haze male, most of the others are female. One that is very stretchy I will cull as soon as it shows sex, either way. Plenty of MH females though. Well, here's the pics from last night which is really the first day of week four.

    Hey Shovel, the ladies are looking very healthy! When you pull the male plants, do you save them for pollinating and breeding? Or trash them? In some of the earlier posts of this thread it sounded like you have some experience working closely with the breeders and may have some experience.

    That Z11xNH is REALLY pretty! I like stocky indica dominates, they fit nicely indoors, & camouflage easier outdoors, plus they kick my butt! I will have to top, bend, & grossly manipulate my grow to keep them out of the lights, so I'm aiming for something with as little stretch as possible. For all my searching, it still reads like aurora indica. There has to be a way for me to post pics from this cell ph, but I can't find it. I have some seedling pics I'd really like to share. So between indoor/outdoor, how many harvests do you have per year?
    ~~~ PEACE! ~~~
    Thanks for the kind comments, Doog, Pushit and Catbuds.
    The only pollinating I do is open or selective to a single branch. I've not collected and saved or shared pollen but once for my B-I-L to cross his female Purps with my male Bubblegum x Blueberry. So I trash males. I trash females too when I start as I usually start more seed than needed. Unfortunately I have no one to give plants to that will grow them indoors. I trash most trim (saved it this recent outdoor harvest though), I trash roaches. I'm wasteful in that regard. Sorry
    Harvests a year? Often two indoors and sometimes one outdoor. Much more product than I ever need for myself. I smoke very little usually. I gift quite a lot. What I don't care for is when I let someone have seed or plants and ask for a sample of the product or at least a smoke report and I hardly ever (one out of fifty or so) get the feed-back. Many times I know the herb is good - excellent as I grow it out myself.
    Well that's just rude not to share with the one who gave you the plants/seeds! I have a friend who's living situation prevents him from growing. He gives me seeds, I give him half the harvest. These are always outdoor grows, since its usually unknown genetics & therefore no idea how much stretch they may have while budding. Another friend found herself rolling in money moved to far away to see often. She gets top of the line smoke & saves me the occasional seeds she finds. I always try to give her some. If she can get down here while I still have some, she'll smoke with me, but when I try to give her some to take with her, she tells me you grew, its yours, keep it. Sorry Shovel, but you have some rude, ungrateful friends.
    ---- I have the same # of harvests as you, but with my location/house situation, much smaller grows. Once this house is renovated, I plan to have a large grow room. I have 10' ceilings, so no size limits!
    ---- Love the pics you post of your pretty girls! ~~~ PEACE! ~~~
    I\'m an ole\' tree huggin hippie. I do what I like & like what I do.
    Hated to do this but I had to top five of the MH as they are too stretchy. I don't usually top in flower but these went from seedling to flower so I didn't get to manage the stretch. It appears that all the rest of these plants are females. 24 seedlings, three males.
