digital vs magnetic ballast?
I'm looking for people's experiences between the two ballasts as we're considering a 250W system for flowering next time. Heck, if we had the money magically appear in the next month we'd switch now I think!
Easier to deal with than a plethora of CFLs all over that have to be moved as the plants grow!
How much of a difference is there between the two types?
Heat?
noise?
How much longer do bulbs last in the digital ballasts compared to the magnetic?

digital vs magnetic ballast?
I'd recommend the old magnetic ballast for stability in long runs and smaller price. To prolong its life, take into consideration a minimum air ventilation system. Advantages of the digital ballast are smaller heat emission and some offer the possibility to dim the lights.
