My personal thoughts on a hempy grow for a new grower is 3.5 gallon buckets, 100% perlite, lucas formula, cal/mag, ph up/down, ro or distilled water, 400-600 watt light, ph pen, exhaust and carbon filter. It's simple, it's repeatable, it's something to easily build on and it works with little attention.
agree, I've seen a 3.5 gallon hempy grow 1 pound (grower named "Hempy", a very experienced grower. But with the correct information an intelligent novice can duplicate this, just as you described, 100% perlite, lucas formula, etc. When the plants do get to full size in a small container you're looking at either an having to use an automatic watering system or watering twice or more daily.

I didn't remember or perhaps I didn't read the post where you already answered SSDI's question. But to refer to my comments as 'silly' pissed me off. I use 3 gallon and five gallon bags and/or pails. But I'm not asking for anyone's advice. And though I have 3700 posts and been on here a minute I'm getting to the point that I'll let you and the other smart people answer the rest of the questions on this forum and I'll just stay on the private forum where I don't have to try and help anyone, I just read and learn from solid professionals.

Ok, my apologies, since you post a lot of comments and read a lot of other people's journals you definitely are more knowledgeable so I will concede, disregard my previous statements that a 3.5 gallon bucket fed every other day will be better for a new grower, use a 5 gallon and feed less frequently. You won't have ph issues, ur ppm's will stay steady and you will get more bud on your plant.

Shovelhandle-tried to find Hempy, wanted to see one pound of bud from a 3.5, that is impressive. The only way I could come close to that is if the cops did the weighing.

There are many excellent growers showing their work out on the web. Well regarded professionals doing some big numbers, every day. Probably had some here over the years. They seemed to have run off or have been inactive. Hanging here so long myself, I don't wonder why. ^^^

Cannacabana.com is a wonderful cannabis site and a favorite of many amazing growers but it is invite only. In my opinion, the best site for grow information is the IC Forum (International Cannabis Magazine). A lot of the big name growers and breeders are there too, some not as active as others.

Totally believe you, just thought seeing would be cool, I have tried this as one of my hydro attempts could get smoke, but...

Still trying on the web thing, seems like smoking and the web don't mix well for me.

Big numbers, saw a picture of a plant down under, extra long season, shaded the house, small house but still, the plants a gift

I'm challenged enough that I can't even show my own best cannabis photos. Losing things every day. It's disappointing, I'll tell you that. I don't have time to try and locate that grow, I tried to remember the other day and I can't recall wtf. I have to look up 1999 Jeep Cherokee (not Grande Cherokee) and find some info for my buddy with no coputer. He has heater box leak and damper lid failure. No puter needed . dig in.
I told him if any lower mounting studs are through the fender wall just drill/chisel 'em off and don't bother putting them back on.
