Bondage: How do you tie up your plants? Help please, had broken plant today.
Hi guys. I have a White Widow flowering at 9 weeks and today 2 of the main colas (have 4) bent/broke under the weight of the buds. Darn it - I'm trying to get some nice ambered buds here. I have some stakes in the pot and have branches tied up already, can't believe these 2 broke overnight. The plant stretched a lot and the branches are thinner than I'd like.
Does anyone here have a stake and string solution, like make your own tomato cage... or something? What do you guys do to support them? Or is everyone using scrog?giggletwig Reviewed by giggletwig on . Bondage: How do you tie up your plants? Help please, had broken plant today. Hi guys. this late in the game i wouldn't bother scroging. it would be too much work and might damage the plant. id work with what you got or add more stakes. dont be afraid to use a a lot ties. when you tie up the plants dont tie to the plants always tie to a stake or something thats stationary. be creative. next round id definitely scrog and if thats not enough add another trellis on top as she grows taller. good luck!

I know that some use bamboo sticks, as many as a dozen around the plant to support heavy buds. I use a single fiberglass 'stick' used for electric fencing to tie my plants to. I use scraps of solid electrical wire, like standard house wire for ties.

A trick to make the green plastic tie easier is use medium paper clips, make a loop on both ends put the clip in and hook it up. Tomato/bean garden nylon netting works well too.

Thanks for the ideas, guys.
Lipps -- How would you go about using the garden nylon netting? How would you attach it?:bonghit: \"Whatever gets you through your life, it\'s alright, alright...\"

Wrap the plant loosely secure it to the plant with wire tie or opened paper clips and thread tips through the netting it depends on the shape of the plant I saw a photo in Hightimes where they just put it on top and put the tips through the net.
