    regular seed question

I have 5 reg seeds of Ken's GDP. I only want one female as I have a small area. I would also like to save some seeds. I realize it is a gamble but I was thinking of picking 2 seeds and running till flower to see if I have a female. I guess I got at least a 50% chance. Should I plant three? I hate to have two females cause I do not have space and would rather grow another GDP grow after Christmas. Probably a stupid question but i had to waste a female gdp seed. What are typical odds of females you have experienced with 5 pack reg seeds?

    regular seed question

Good choice on the seeds & the breeder.

If it were me, i'd do at least 2. They do say you average 50% males & 50% females under normal conditions, but only 2 seeds isn't enough to play into the averages. You could easily come up with 2 females or 2 males.

I don't know how accurate they are, but if you google it, you can find ways to increase your chances of having females - basically not stressing your plant, similar advice is used to prevent hermies with [URL=/gorilla-cannaibs-seeds.co.uk/feminized-seedsfeminized seeds[/URL].

If space is the issue, many people force their plants to pre-flower so they can tell early on if they're male or female then put them back into veg. If you go with only 2 seeds, that's something you should definitely look into.

It's a gamble, I planted 10 AK 47's got one female. You can grow them until they are old enough to clone then take a clone and sex the clone that way you won't set them back by forcing the whole plant to start to flower.

That's an brilliant idea - feel like an idiot to not have thought of that.
