Xbox live is only 50 bux a year. I'm glad to pay this to prevent hackers and what not that you can get on pc and ps2. It's impossible to cheat on xbox, and if you do, you're cut off by microsoft. Voice communication in every game is also a nice feature. I'm just saying that you make Live sound like a pain in the ass to pay for when it only costs 50 bux a year! I'll probably end up getting the ps3/xbox360. I didn't even know that Nintendo was releasing another system? I haven't heard a word about it yet.

It's gonna be called the Revolution . It'll be as big as 3 DVD boxes stacked on top of eachother, play GC games and DVDs, have wireless (apparently), free online play and SICK GAMES! Nintendo choose not to resort to hype and are keeping it under wraps. All that i've heard is the new controller will have pressure sensitive buttons which will be (amongst other things) one of the new technologies used in the games.

I don't see Xbox live as a pain in the ass, just a really over-rated feature of the Xbox. People only ever seem to talk about how fun Halo/2 is on it and playing a FPS with a controller is a bland experience in it's own. You have a good point about cheating and hacking, but it doesn't weigh out just how much more fun you can have with a fast connection and Half Life 2 . (a lot of draw also is also effective)

dude only reason i wouldn't buy the ps3 is that i got the ps2, and the frickin disc drive sucked and tehy wouldn't fix it for free, i had to pay 100.00's for there error!
