Worried! Just trying to clarify some things!

Hey, I am a new member. I have to take a UA possibly Tuesday maybe later. I have to go in Tuesday and my friend said they may ask to take a drug test then. I read up and down this site and came to the conclusion that dilution is risky and substitution is the way to go. I decided to buy quick fix from detox for less. Has anyone bought from them? I hope they are legit. Also, its just a cooking job at a hotel, so I doubt its a real in depth UA. I was wondering does quest diagnostics pat you down or make you empty your pockets. I know the directions they say to warm it up and if I put it down my shorts. Im worried it will get to hot and take to long to cool down. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. Really need this job. I quit for like a month and then smoked 2 bowls, but I am big dude and I don't think it will be out in time.

For employment-related tests, the collector may ask you to empty your pockets. The collector is not allowed to frisk or touch the donor in any manner. This constitutes groping and is against the law.

Now if the test is for court-ordered probation, thats an entirely different ball game, as a person on probation had relinquished all of the rights that are normally afforded to those taking an employment-related test.

Its easier to deal with the temp being too high than the temp being too low. You can always blow on the sample the cool it down to proper temp, or find a blowing A/C duct in the bathroom. Or you can find a cold surface to set the sample cup on while youre zipping up, etc.

Thanks, you are a wealth of knowledge. One last question, if anyone has an answer, I saw quick fix had some recalls. It was on quick fix plus from what I am reading not quick fix the regular 2 oz. Can anyone confirm this? I know when the package comes in I need to check the numbers.

Quick Fix is manufactured by Spectrum Labs. Google Spectrum Labs website for any recalls on the QF.

One last question, when I substitute. I think it only comes with 2 oz. and if I understand correctly. That is the minimum you can give as a sample. Do I need to urinate in the toilet after to make it look legit. I know you cant flush or turn on the sink until you dive them your cup. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the subject.

Urinating in the toilet is not necessary. A person can always contend that s/he had just enough urine in their bladder to fill the sample cup - Not everybody can show up at a facility with a full bladder.

Thanks for all your help. This is my first pre employment screening, so just worried. Hope I don't mess up in the switch.

Today is the big day. I took an at home one this morning with my first void. The line was extremely faint, but it was def. there. Every way I turned it there was a solid line just extremely, extremely faint. So, if I drink some fluids and void a couple of times before the test but not completely dilute. Would that help my chances? Or should I go with just the straight substitute?

So, I went to concentra and subbed quick fix. When I brought it out, the temp was between 96 and 98 and the guy said it was to hot it should have cooled quicker. Then he smelt it and said that it had a tampering odor. No idea how, well he goes you can either leave or go and take it in front of me. I signed off to go in front of him. But I had it in my belt and he spotted it. Well, needless to say it is over.

I guess I messed up. My question is what information are they allowed to release to the hotel. Are they going to tell them I got caught subbing? Is there anything the law can do? Also, if I go for another job. Will I be watched because it is in the records? I am so upset. My friend got me the job and I don't want this to reflect on him. Are they going to tell the place that they caught me subbing since I initialed for an in person watch but didn't take it.
